Productivity in the New Normal

Productivity in the New Normal

Looking back, 2020 was a year that tested most of us as individuals and as a society. The coronavirus held the whole world on pause, as industries, schools, and businesses stood still, forcing us to stay at home and adapt to what we now know as the “new normal”.

But 2021 brings renewed hope for many. Families have stayed closer together, schools continued online, and businesses are bouncing back. Traditional operations are assimilated into remote work for those with certain tasks that can be done outside the office. Manual processes were digitized, and physical meetings have turned virtual, all for the sake of safety and business continuity.

To further support this movement, Squadzip evolved to be the digital extension of the office allowing teams to plan, report, collaborate, and uncover insight, making teams productive from anywhere.

In this “new normal”, companies had to find a way to make remote work, work, and even more productive for the sake of their business to thrive. The Squadzip team shared some of the following guidelines with our clients to get them more adapted to remote work.

Tips to Consider for Remote Work:

  • Set up a conducive workspace away from distractions

  • Provide tools required for a successful adaptation to working remotely

  • Define core working hours

  • Have employees set goals and provide an estimated quantity of work expected

  • Define official lines for communication and collaboration

  • Set non-negotiable virtual meetings for alignment

  • Physical and Mental health reminders and support

Here’s a quick peek at how Squadzip users work:

Clocking In:

At the beginning of each day, team members update their itineraries before clocking in. With Squadzip, their attendance post captures the time and location and even shares the itineraries and events planned for the day. This allows the boss to see what each of his/her employees will be doing.

The attendance can also be later exported for the company’s payroll purposes.

Daily Work Flow:

Squadzip has a look and feels like team members are just on social media. Reports can be templated to make posts within 2 minutes or less. In these posts, users can tag the key activities they are engaged in, the persons or companies that they are interacting with, and even tag their department or boss for alignment.

Every post is time and location stamped which can work even if the team member is offline. They could be at the basement of a building or in rural areas with limited or no access to the Internet, Squadzip can still capture the time and location of where the report was made.

The friendly Cheer and Comment buttons on every report allow collaboration in real-time with your team members.

Goals and Targets:

Each user can assign or be assigned tasks to complete. The dashboards of our Task and Ticketing system indicate response times and resolution times keeping the team on top of all time-sensitive activities.

The sales team is able to update their deals easily within 3 minutes or less using the Pipeline Management System. This allows users to monitor each deal to help them progress their sales across every stage. They can even do this on their mobile devices!

Dashboards and Reports:

Submitting manual reports is a thing of the past. With Squadzip, managers can instantly view dashboards to see the productivity of their teams. Reports are available on demand with just a few clicks of a button.

This equips business owners with the information they need to make brilliant decisions for the organization. The good thing is that it was built to be as easy to use as social media, but with the power and intelligence of an enterprise platform.

Squadzip has been with clients through one of the toughest periods in a business lifetime, and Squadzip continues to commit to adding improvements and features that will help keep companies operating productively.
