HiveBotics recently grabbed attention at the National University of Singapore (NUS) DeepTech Venture Showcase 2024 with their autonomous cleaning robots Abluo Bots. The event was graced by Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat, NUS President Tan Eng Chye and Founding Managing Partner of Matter Venture Partners, Dr Wen Hsieh.
CEO and Co-Founder of HiveBotics, Rishab Patwarim also spoke at the fireside chat on the topic of "Labs to Lives: Pushing the Boundaries, Shaping our Future with Deep Tech Innovations". The discussion delved into the transformative journey of deep tech innovations from laboratory prototypes to practical real-world solutions. Patwarim and fellow founders shared insights into their entrepreneurial endeavors, highlighting the evolution of their technologies and their profound impact across diverse industries.
In an interview with Channel News Asia (CNA), Patwarim shed light on HiveBotics' challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, navigating obstacles in development and securing investment amidst global uncertainty.
At the event, NUS President Tan Eng Chye also announced a significant boost of $20 million to support deep technology startups and innovation efforts, underscoring NUS's commitment to accelerating translational research for real-world impact.
